Job Title: Gate Guard Full-Time position: 40 hours (including weekends)Salary: $20.00 per hourSchedule: Available shifts are 6am -2pm or 2pm -10pm, days will vary depending on departmental needs. Weekends are included. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD, and 401(k) Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC), the property management company for Leisure World of Maryland, is a private, age-restricted community comprised of 29 community associations representing over 5,600 homes and extensive Trust operations, located in Silver Spring, Maryland has immediate openings for Gate Guards. The schedule include weekends and it is subject to change based on operational needs.The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma/general education degree (GED). They should also have 1-3 years of related experience, and/or training preferred but not necessary. Please Note: New Hires will train on a variety of shifts which includes a midnight shift, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Employees will continuously work on a variety of shifts and all schedules are subject to change based on operational need. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.The ability to see details a both close range and at a distance.The ability to listen to and understand information and ides presented through spoken words andsentences (English).Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. Ability to enter, transcribe, record, store or maintain information in written or electronic form. Ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Ability to consistently provide a high level of accurate work delivered in a timely manner. Ability to prioritize work assignments. · Ability to identify and respond to customer needs in a courteous manner. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing. Computer literate and knowledgeable using Microsoft Office and Excel or comparable software. YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE1-3 years related experience and/or training preferred but not necessary We offer you a challenging and rewarding environment with many opportunities to learn, grow and achieve great results.
