Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive entry level Accounting Associate to support a fast-paced facility. We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of accounts payable in a food manufacturing environment. This is a Temp-To-Hire opportunity. You must be able to work Onsite. Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in Cost Accounting or related accounting functions in a food manufacturing environment
- Soldi understanding of accrual accounting
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as UMS and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV) preferred.
- Prior experience with SAP and/or in the foodservice or distribution industry is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed accounting reconciliations monthly
- Assist with month end journal entries: account for inventory, pending invoices, intercompany transactions, etc.
- Partner with Operations and communicate complex financial themes in a succint manner
- Maintain accurate standard costing to reflect true product profitability
- Financial analysis or costs and profitability trends
